Hi Highlands Ranch,

Three minis are coming to Living the Dream Brewing this Sunday—but before we suggested you to go—we went to meet them first. They live about 15 minutes south of the Ranch.

And what did we find?
Something way bigger than three cute mini horses. Also yes, it’s confirmed—they are adorable.

Meet the Minis

What’s Really Happening South of the Ranch

At Zuma’s Rescue Ranch, everything is happening at once—

a rescued mare learning to trust again in the outdoor round pen,
a woman healing through riding therapy after hip surgery in the arena,
elite jumpers boarding to keep the mission running,
and a retired nurse getting the minis ready to meet you.

This place isn’t just a rescue.
It’s a holistic ecosystem where the unbelievable is happening every day—for horses and people.

👤 Who Is Jodi?

Then there’s Jodi—
a true builder. A visionary who executes. A person who sees what’s broken and says,
we’ll fix it ourselves. No mountain too high. No injury too deep.

(She’s literally building the first non-profit large animal clinic in CO on the rescue because the system isn’t working. This is huge.)

🌿 A Different Kind of Rescue

Jodi’s approach is different—
She runs the kind of ship—or Ranch—that won’t, can’t sink. Fiscally wise. Operationally seamless. Strategic rescuer.

With a unique approach to rescue (they currently don’t take in horses) that’s gone through phases—they try keeping horses with their people when possible.

It’s a holistic path to transformation.

Because sometimes the best outcome isn’t letting go… it’s getting support.
It’s changing how things are done—strengthening weak foundations that need some outside reinforcements.

❤️ Why It Matters

At Zuma’s, healing shows up in every form for horses and humans—

physical, mental, emotional.
PTSD, recovery, purpose… it all has a place here.

I went thinking I’d meet three minis.
I left thinking… everyone in the Ranch needs to experience this.

There is literally something for everyone—and they want you to come.

🤝 How to Get Involved

If this hits you, there are a few ways in:
→ volunteer (yes, everyone gets a pitchfork. Rite of passage. Ranch life)
→ find what fits (there are endless options for everyone. In your 80s? Not a problem)
→ show up to an event (they do Second Saturday Music Events from 7-9pm starting soon. I’ll remind you)
give through their site

📍 This Sunday (Start Here)

I’ll be back out there volunteering, mucking some stalls—
and I’ll be telling you more of their stories.

It’s free inspiration and rejuvenation just 15 minutes south of the Ranch.

So yeah—come for the trio on Sunday at Living the Dream.
But don’t stop there.

Show up. Get your hands dirty while your heart heals with horses.

Just south of the Ranch—this neighboring Ranch has countless opportunities for you to be reminded—the impossible is still possible.

The minis are ready to meet you, Sunday.

For now, that’s the Scoop ya’ll
