There’s always something happening in Denver—but it shouldn’t be so hard to discover what’s happening right here in Highlands Ranch.
The Ranch Scoop brings together the events, places, people, and community happenings worth knowing about in Highlands Ranch—so you can spend less time searching and more time enjoying where you live.
Why the Ranch Scoop?
There is so much going on right in the Ranch and around South Denver, so why not live local.
A concert at Civic Green Park. A new spot opening in Highlands Ranch Town Center. A community tradition that quietly fills up every year. A trail you’ve driven past a hundred times but never explored.
Highlands Ranch is full of things worth doing, seeing, and knowing about. The problem is that the information is often scattered across websites, social media pages, flyers, and conversations.
The Ranch Scoop brings it together.
What is the Ranch Scoop?
The Ranch Scoop is a free, newsletter-first local publication created for Highlands Ranch and the surrounding South Denver area.
Each week, we find and thoughtfully curate local events, community happenings, parks, places to eat, seasonal guides, live music, outdoor adventures, and the stories shaping life in the Ranch.
No endless event dumps. No hours of searching. Just the best stuff, scooped up and delivered to your inbox.
Why Highlands Ranch?
Because Highlands Ranch isn’t simply a suburb of Denver—it’s a community of more than 100,000 people with its own parks, trails, traditions, businesses, gathering places, and stories.
Highlands Ranch is always at the center of our coverage with occasional worthwhile finds from Littleton, Lone Tree, Centennial, Parker, Castle Pines, Castle Rock, and beyond.
The goal is to help you live local, feel connected, and discover more of what’s already around you.
What Makes the Scoop Different?
The Scoop is built around thoughtful curation.
We look for the things genuinely worth knowing about—from a major Colorado celebration at the Highlands Ranch Town Center to a neighborhood event you might otherwise miss.
Every edition is designed to help you spend less time searching and more time enjoying where you live.
Who’s Behind the Ranch Scoop?
Hi, I’m Grace Hody—founder and editor of The Ranch Scoop.
My background has centered around writing, teaching, strategic planning, and knowledge management: helping people make sense of information and making it easier to find, understand, and use.
Throughout my career, I repeatedly saw the same problem: valuable information existed, but it was scattered across different people, platforms, and places. The Ranch Scoop grew from that same observation—only this time, the focus was local community.
I created The Scoop to make discovering life in and around Highlands Ranch easier, more useful, and a whole lot more fun.
I’m so glad you found us.
—Grace Hody
