Central Park
Central Park puts city-park energy at the center of this Ranch park. With a tower plaza, amphitheater seating, a patio, open lawn and interactive spaces, it was made for gathering along with walks after work.
Calling it a mini version of New York City’s Central Park might be a stretch, but it’s probably the closest thing to that in the Ranch.

Civic Green Park
Civic Green gets plenty of attention for its fountains and splash area and for good reason.
But don’t miss the heart of this park, hidden right in its name. Civic means connected to a community and its people. The park lives up to that.
It’s a place where Highlands Ranch gathers for concerts, celebrations, and everyday fun.
It is also home to the Highlands Ranch Veterans Monument, created after residents came together to honor veterans and active military members.
Civic remembrance and engagement are at the heart of this park.

Highlands Ranch Historic Park
History in the past meets Highlands Ranch history in the making here.
On April 30, 2026, Shea Homes transferred about 197 acres of ranchland surrounding the Highlands Ranch Mansion to the Metro District. That grew Historic Park to nearly 250 acres, including pastures, 13 ranch buildings, and the iconic windmill.
Planning is now underway to preserve the property while creating new ways for people of all ages to explore its history and nature.
In other words, the next chapter of Highlands Ranch history is being written right here.
